The back of the stopper features deeply hollow molded swallows in flight. The front of the stopper is smooth. This great tiara stopper captures the effect of birds in flight. The stopper also takes an asymmetric scene and turns it into a symmetrical object. This feature along with the greatly stylized birds are great examples of art deco. This stopper was reproduced by Crystal Lalique in 2010 as an homage to Rene Lalique honoring his birth 150 years prior (1860). While the stopper is very similar in size to the original, the bottle is taller and these later ones are clearly marked.
