Additional Information: 
Generally considered as Palais Royal souvenirs that were bought by tourists on the grand tour for friends. The actual painting may be attributed to Old Paris porcelain. The very painterly, finely detailed miniature, all hand painted scene depicts a river with figures on the shore, boat with figure, another sail boat, castle tower on hill, tree, landscape details and sky. The reverse is painted with green garlands and cherubs holding a shield with writing "Souvenir d'amite" (souvenir of friendship) all on a yellow ground. Both sides trimmed in cobalt blue and gold.
