From the "Delysia" line, this purse is blue and white enameled mesh. Unlike other vanity purses of this era where the compact is at the top, the compact is found in the center of the purse, encased in silver bands with a flower garland motif and blue glass rhinestones. The top has a silver, fine mesh carry strap attached to a metal reinforced cap with an ornamental pattern, and the bottom would have originally had a tassel. These purses were also made in silverplate, green-gold plate, nickel silver, and tri-colored sunset mesh, with many colors of enameling, and in other sizes. This purse was considered the height of fashion in the 1920's and was sold in jewelry stores and in higher end retail stores.
