The variety is truly endless— with something for every collector and enthusiast.

Optional Perfume Passage Soiree

Perfume Passage is ever expanding and evolving, providing an experience that captivates and surprises at every turn. Step into a living museum, where exhibits and displays of perfumes and vanity items are always being refreshed — revealing new wonders and treasures. Expert IPBA members will mingle throughout the galleries, ready to share behind-the-scenes stories and fascinating details. The Vault has expanded with a selection of spectacular and rare items.
Enjoy dinner in the enchanting Carousel building among steam engines, automata and a c.1915 clock from Green Bay, Wisconsin. This memorable evening ends with rides on the 1890 Eden Palais Carousel. Transportation is provided with buses departing from the hotel at 3:00 pm and returning at 8:30 pm, 8:45 pm and 9:00 pm. Cocktail attire is suggested.

Presentations

Behind the Boudoir Door: Lingerie and Beauty Through the Decades, presented by Bette Sherman. For over a century, what women wore beneath their clothing told a story beyond fashion. From the tight-laced corsets of the Victorian /Edwardian age to the freedom of 1960’s, lingerie has mirrored society’s evolving views. Cosmetics went from a society “no no” in the Victorian Age to a multi-million-dollar industry in the 1960’s. Come with me behind the boudoir door and see what’s been kept out of sight in ladies drawers and the cosmetics displayed on their vanity table.
Serge Mansau, presented by Jean-Marie Martin-Hattemburg and Antoine Pujol. A talented artist and sculptor, Serge Mansau burst into the world of perfume bottle design in 1960 with “Skin Dew” for Helena Rubinstein. Delve into the fascinating world of Serge Mansau as Jean-Marie and Antoine uncover a portfolio of over 250 perfume bottle designs.

Compacts from the High Art Deco Era, presented by Howard W. Melton and Anne de Thoisy-Dallem. The presentation continues and supplements the American Compacts book, with a substantial section of European compacts from this era.
Collector’s Sessions

Palais Royal, facilitated by Monica Magnani. “Palais Royal” are two words that evoke wealth, luxury, and nobility, and indeed the objects produced in this exclusive location were highly sought-after and the privilege of a select few. The scent bottles, made to arouse wonder, not just to contain perfume, are no exception — let’s discover them together!
Minis Specialty Group, facilitated by Lillie Gold. Lillie received one of these minis when she was a teenager, then, many years later, found the other mini on the IPBA Paris 2025 tour. Verna Kocken and Austin Leung will share a few of their favorite minis, with plenty of time for questions.

Karl Lagerfeld, facilitated by Terri Chappell Boyd. Designer Karl Lagerfeld launched his first fragrance, “Chloe”, in 1975. Please join me as we explore his first four Fragrances, and the man behind them.
Accessories from the Scentury of Progress, facilitated by Andra Behrendt. Concentrating on the perfumes, compacts, vanity items and unique ephemera from the 1933-1934 Chicago Century of Progress World’s Fair! Just imagine the variety of items that were once sold as souvenirs at this iconic event—just 10 miles from our convention hotel!
