IPBA Chesapeake Crabs Chapter

This Chapter, founded in 2011, is the Regional Chapter for the Mid-Atlantic area with members in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Delaware and southern Pennsylvania. We hold three meetings a year, some by Zoom and at least one hosted by individual members on a rotating basis. These meetings feature: a luncheon, one of Madeleine Winkelmann’s fabulous baked perfume bottle-themed desserts, a business meeting with specific agenda items, interesting guest speakers from among our members who talk about their areas of collecting expertise, and a tour of the hosting member’s collection.

When the occasion arises, we have also arranged meetings at one of the many local museums with exhibits of interest. In August of 2017, we visited the Museum of American Glass in Weston, West Virginia. In March of 2019 we visited the Hillwood Museum in DC (former home of Marjorie Merriweather Post) to view the  estate, museum and gardens, and their “Perfume & Seduction” exhibit.
