Meet our Keynote Speaker: Anne de Thoisy-Dallem
Art Historian, Museum Curator, Museum Exhibitor, Author, Collector
Anne studied Art History at the École du Louvre, Sorbonne, and the National Heritage Institute before starting a 20-year career as a curator in different museums in France. Her collecting centered around fashion accessories before focusing on compacts and powder boxes.
To further appreciate the compacts and powder boxes, Anne began researching the brands, studying the shapes and comparing styles. Her collection was exhibited in 2021 at the International Museum of Perfumery in Grasse and the Forney Library in Paris.
Anne’s book: La Poudre de Beauté et ses Écrins (Beauty Powder and its Boxes: The Century of Powder Compacts (1880-1980) is a catalogue edited by The Musée International de la Parfumery.
