Join us for a program on the Art Deco vanity between 1925 – 1938. Inspired by the style exhibited by Czechoslovakia and Lalique at the 1925 Paris Exhibition, Josef Schmidt and Heinrich Hoffman began producing ‘Artistic Crystalware’ perfume bottles. These exquisite pieces were exported around the world. Simultaneously, in the United States, Thomas DeVilbiss started production of perfume atomizers in 1905, hiring a French designer to bring their ‘perfumizers’ to the artistic level achieved between 1924-34.

This program was developed by Marsha Crafts and is presented by Terri Chappel-Boyd, both long-time members of the IPBA.
