IPBA IPBA Convention 2021 Recap

We set sail looking for New Horizons and ended up Widening our Horizons!

Our 2021 IPBA Convention was fun, exciting, educational and best of all we connected with our collecting mates. Everyone enjoyed the community Billboard – starting discussions and just cutting loose was a great feeling. It was intoxicating to see each other again! We had over 180 attendees with 10 countries represented – from the US to Hong Kong and Australia, and back around the globe again. We overcame our fear of technology and just got on with the joy of being together again. Bravo to all of you! Every day there were new highlights! So much to see and do and we didn’t even have to leave home.

The Perfume Bottles Auction, the official auction of the IPBA, was just a little bit exciting – this year’s results were the best ever!! The 1914 Osiris Baccarat crystal perfume bottle selling for a phenomenal – $102,000 with premium, breaking all previous sales records for a Baccarat commercial perfume bottle. Along with many other stars in the auction – it was exhilarating to watch and participate. Results are available to download, and the beautiful auction catalog may still be purchased by visiting the website: PerfumeBottlesAuction.com.

(Did you know that the IPBA benefits from the auction sales? We received a percentage from these results too!)

We started out the convention with an entire day just to Shop at our Virtual Showroom – what could possibly be more fun than that? This extended the convention to an unprecedented 5 days. Attendees are welcome to go back anytime between now and then to shop.

Presentations – were incredible – and the variety was extraordinary! Our presenters shared their knowledge, expertise, and beautiful photos! We were able to ask questions and make comments during the presentations through the chat feature and in person. With the Virtual format we were able to squeeze in more presentations than ever before and record most of them to save for our archives. We experience breathtaking and off-the-charts presentations. Our presenters had the audience hanging on every word.
