THE IPBA IS “SAILING FOR NEW HORIZONS”
We hope all of you and your guests will join us April 29th thru May 2nd 2021 as we host an amazing “Virtual 2021 Convention”!
Just think – you can participate from the comfort of your own home, on the device of your choosing. What could be easier? We are working on an incredibly fun, interesting, and exciting event with opportunities to connect with your collecting mates.
We will be offering an Online Showroom for those that would like to purchase or sell treasures for our collections.
The convention agenda is coordinating with the Perfume Bottles Auction and we will be offering an exclusive live Auction Preview so you will be able to see some of those glorious beauties up close and personal.
WHAT WILL THE “VIRTUAL” PROGRAM INCLUDE?
The program will be coming to you through an event app and presentations will be seen on Zoom. The Convention has some wonderful events lined up including:

- Cocktail Hour with your IPBA President
- The Perfume Bottle Design Competition

- IPBA Business meeting including the election of your 2021-2023 Board of Directors

HOW WILL WE REGISTER?
We will be mailing out registration packets in February 2021 to all IPBA Members and the registration will be available on our website www.perfumebottles.org at the that time. The cost for registration is $135 per email address. Your email address will be your sign-on to the app and your entry to the convention.
The Online Showroom cost per Exhibitor is $225. The Online Showroom will be open from the start of the convention and for a total of 3 months afterwards. Each Online Shop will be able to add photos and even a short video, and while open can add new merchandise and remove items sold as well as set the hours of business. Individuals can contact the seller via the formats provided and displayed at their shop on the App.
HOW WILL THIS VIRTUAL CONVENTION WORK?
Join Teri Wirth for an informative session about our upcoming virtual convention and a sneak peek to see our Event App. You do not need to have Zoom, but you will need a link to participate in these sessions. There is a limit of 25 attendees per session so that everyone will be able to ask questions. We will also host a session for our UK Chapter and Australian Chapter. We will be working with their Chapter Leaders to coordinate these sessions.

WILL THERE BE PRACTICE SESSIONS?
We will be offering practice sessions given by some of our wonderful volunteers so that everyone who would like to attend our virtual convention no matter your skill set or device so you will feel comfortable about using the App and Zoom. These practice sessions will be announced in February, 2021.
TREASURES FOUND 2021
Whether on-site, hybrid, or totally virtual, Treasures Found is one of our most popular events at the convention and the 2021 convention will be no different. This event is entertaining, educational, sometimes quite lively, but always interesting.
This is the event where our panel of experts unlock the secrets of those items in your collection you have questions about. Like “What is it?” or “Where is it from?” or other questions you might have. Our audience is pretty brilliant, and knowledgeable too. We encourage everyone to participate.
This year we are asking our members to submit photos and fill out a short questionnaire about the items they want to know something about. This will allow us to prepare in advance and share your photos to those on location and to those attending remotely.

New for 2021 . . . Creative Mask Challenge
Categories: Chapter Group Photo and Individual Photos
Chapter members must be wearing masks for both categories. A different mask from the Group photo can be worn for the Individual photo.
Maximum 16 members per page. If the number of members participating in the Group photo extends to a second or third screen, multiple screen shots can be submitted.
For the Individual category, the chapter should submit individual photos of the top three members wearing their masks.
The best in each category will be voted on by the convention goers.
