Former IPBA member Michael A. Mont and his daughter Judith Gale have created something special with their recently published book, “Compacts and Perfume Bottles of DuBarry”!

Their book dives deep into the rich history of Richard Hudnut’s DuBarry product lines and the UK Dubarry company. While collectors search for the compacts, perfume bottles, powder boxes and vanity items from both, until now, the stories behind these treasures had remained a mystery.

Spanning 123 pages in a hardcover edition, the book tells the fascinating story about the real Madame du Barry and her influence on 18th-century society. In addition, it chronicles Richard Hudnut’s own DuBarry journey, featuring photos of various compacts, cosmetics and perfume bottles, many designed by Julien Viard for Hudnut.

Another must-read for collectors who are passionate about cosmetic history and collectibles!
